Ferries
Gironde council propose two ferry lines to cross the Gironde estuary :
Le Verdon / Royan & Blaye / Lamarque
Line Le VERDON - ROYAN
At the mouth of the Gironde estuary, this sea links connects Le Verdon (the northern tip of the Médoc) with Royan and the way around, avoiding the long way around the estuary through the bridges over the Dordogne and the Garonne rivers. The distance is 3 nautical miles (6 kilometres) and the crossing takes about 20 minutes.

Line BLAYE - LAMARQUE
This sea line links Blaye with the port of Lamarque, giving access to the heart of the Médoc from Haute-Gironde and the way around. The crossing takes about 20 minutes, and the distance is 2.4 nautical miles (4.5 km).

Vessels used to transport two wheels, cars, vans, motorhomes, trucks, containers, agricultural machinery, abnormal loads, etc ...
There is no need to book, except for buses and exceptional shipping (reservation office Verdon or Blaye).
Payment is on boarding (credit card, check payable to Régie Recettes DTMD, cash, travelers checks).
